this is an independent role-play blog for a fandomless, original character. i own no rights to the any of the artwork or content used or shown on this blog. theme credit: octomoosey. penned by mimi.

II. SELECTIVITY.

this blog is private, and extremely selective — meaning that i will follow selectively, and i will only role-play with mutuals. please understand that this is for the sake of keeping my threads and my dashboard organized. on this note, i will not follow personal blogs, porn blogs, or any blogs of a non-role-play related nature.

III. HATE.

this blog does not condone hate in any form. all hate will be deleted, and all call-out posts of this nature will be ignored. this role-player has taken the anti-hate pledge.

this blog is multi-verse and multi-ship, oc and cross-over friendly. this being said, i reserve the right to remain selective regarding who i follow, and all ships will occur in separate verses unless specified.

skinny love ( i know why the caged bird sings )! mina works as a live-in prostitute in an exclusive brothel called lovelace. sold on the black market to pay off her father's debts, she has learned the dark secrets of the underworld; drugs, torture, sex slavery and more are a part of her daily life. over a number of years, she has been subjected to complex forms of manipulation, brain-washing, and grooming. her views on the position of women in society are heavily skewed, and she has developed severe anxiety. she is hesitant to reach out, but craves contact with the outside world, and often makes reckless decisions to satiate her desire for an escape from her reality, however brief.

all for love ( why have you forsaken me? ) ! once the holy virtue of love, now fallen from grace, mina has been cast from heaven and exiled to earth, where she has been taken under the wing of an incubus masquerading as a black-market human trafficker named yevgeni vasil, in a red-light district of hell's second circle, where the lustful are punished for their lascivious ways. she works at his private brothel, lovelace, as a prostitute, while struggling to cling to her diminishing hope.

HISTORIE. Mina had never been rich in money...but in other things, she could not have been more fortunate. Born to a loving pair of parents in a poor ghetto of Munich (Germany), she never yearned for love or attention. Even when her plate was empty and her house was cold, she never complained, for she had everything she could ask for in her family's company...but food wasn't the only thing that they could not afford. At Mina's tenth year, her mother fell deathly ill with pneumonia, and not a year later, she passed, leaving Mina and her father broken-hearted. Still, they did their best to make ends' meet, as they always had...but as times became more desperate, and Mina began to show the signs of illness as well, her father turned to money-lenders to save his daughter's life. Unfortunately, this choice would have the opposite effect.
By the time that Mina had turned fifteen, the money-lenders had returned for their investment, with interest...but with nothing to offer, her father was forced to provide collateral for his debt: they forcibly took Mina from her home, and spirited her away to a black-market human-trafficker, Yevgeni Vasil. From there, she embarked on a five-year long path to absolute obedience. For two years, she was trained by Yevgeni himself through harsh methods -- rough training, rape, brutal beatings, torture, and even drugs to break her mind and spirit. Once broken of her previous expectations of life, he employed more tactile and astute methods of conforming her mind to a servile existence. Often using Pavlovian techniques, he ushered her into a mind-set in which she directly associated any sort of disobedience, however minute, with horrific forms of punishment. Soon enough, she had learned what to avoid, and how to behave in order to survive for even a day longer.
Currently, she serves at an upscale brothel owned by Yevgeni located in the red-light district of New York City. On the surface, it is a prominent gentleman's club for the wealthy -- but for the right price, the clientele can indulge their more base desires in the private lounges and back-rooms, with drugs, sex, and even more taboo affairs.
